The Walt Disney World Resort in Central Florida is known as the place where dreams come true. Each year, millions of visitors—also known as “Guests” in Disney terms—flock to the four theme parks, two water parks, and large shopping district, hoping to get a taste of magic and make their dreams come true. But Guests aren’t the only ones getting to experience the magic. Approximately 70,000 Cast Members—the term used to refer to Disney employees—work at Walt Disney World, helping deliver the magic and memories to the Guests. Each one of these Cast Members come from different backgrounds and have different stories to share. This book highlights some of the many Cast Members that work at Walt Disney World and offers the reader a glimpse into their world.

Humans of Walt Disney World was my year-long senior thesis project that highlighted 100 of the thousands of Cast Members that work at Walt Disney World. Based on the popular blog “Humans of New York,” this book featured 100 diverse Cast Members and a quote about themselves. The photos and interviews were collected from June 2015 to December 2015, and the design and layout were created from January 2016 to April 2016.
